We recently mailed out 1099-PATR forms to everyone for the year 2012. The amount included in box 3 was your commodity sales to Larsen Cooperative for the first eight months (January 1 to August 31) of 2012. The reason it was only for the first eight months is because after we merged into CHS Inc on September 1st, 2012, we began to do business under the CHS Inc. Federal ID number. We cannot include the last four months of 2012 on that same 1099-PATR. You will never get a 1099-PATR for commodities sold to us from September 1, 2012 to December 31st, 2012. Please check with your tax consultant if you have any questions about how to handle this on your taxes.
